JATARA: YES, THE FIREFIGHTERS ARE FINALLY IN CLEANUP MODE AFTER BATTLING THIS FIRE. I CAN TELL YOU, WE ARE RIGHT BEHIND THE UC CLAREMONT CAMPUS. FIRE CHIEF TELLING ME, THIS CALL CAME ARE -- CAME OUT, AND THE FIRE IS NOW OUT, THE CAUSE WAS A COOKING FIRE ON THE THIRD FLOOR. ONE THIRD OF THE FLOOR HAS SMOKE DAMAGE AND THE WESTERN THIRD HAS WATER DAMAGE. A LOT OF PEOPLE DISPLACED. NO INJURIES THOUGH. NO TENANTS INSIDE WERE INJURED. I ASKED ABOUT PEOPLE WHO COULD BE INSIDE WHEN THE FIRE STARTED, EVERYONE WAS ABLE TO GET OUT ON THEIR OWN, OTHER THAN A DISABLED MAN WHO WAS ON THE FIRST FLOOR AND FIREFIGHTER WERE ABLE TO GE

Seven fire departments responded to a structure fire near the University of Cincinnati's Clermont campus on Friday evening. Central Joint Fire Chief Kevin Riley said crews received the call just before 8 p.m. reporting a fire at a building on University Lane. Chief Riley said crews were able to put the fire out within two hours. Firefighters believe the blaze was caused by cooking on the third floor. Officials at the scene said 1/3 of the third floor has fire and smoke damage, and the western third of the building has water damage.
