Police: Man shot and killed at beauty supply store in Semmes

Mobile, Ala. (WPMI) — According to the Semmes Police Department, a man has been shot at the K&J Beauty Supply store on Moffet Road.

It happened Friday evening; police say the incident began as an argument between two unidentified men.

Police say one man then shot the other; the victim then fled to the parking lot.

Police say the shooter is currently in custody.

The victim was quickly transported to the hospital but died before arrival.

Semmes Police offered the following update Saturday:

Around 6 PM, officers responded to 7885 Moffett Road for shots fired. Further information was given while officers were in route stating that a B/M subject had discharged a pistol inside the store and was last seen leaving the location towards Schillinger Rd. Just before officers arrived on the scene dispatch advised that the subject had returned to the scene and there was a second subject with a GSW to the chest in the parking lot with citizens conducting CPR.

When officers arrived on the scene, they were able to locate the subject that was discharging the firearm and take him into custody with out further incident.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for the GSW.

The Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting.
