TRON Lightcycle / Run is of course the latest attraction at Walt Disney World, located in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom. Set to open to guests on April 4, 2023, the attraction picks up from where “TRON: Legacy” left off, with Kevin’s son Sam Flynn having opened a second gateway into the digital world called the Grid. The first portal was established at Shanghai Disneyland with the original TRON Lightcycle Power Run.

“In an exclusive interview, Chris Beatty, Portfolio Creative Director for Walt Disney Imagineering, prepares readers to be digitized, revealing the story and excitement that await guests,” according to press notes. “’We wanted to make sure TRON Lightcycle / Run is fun and thrilling and delivers on the heart and soul of TRON and the excitement of racing on the Grid,” states Beatty.

TRON Lightcycle / Run will open at Magic Kingdom on April 4, 2023. A sign was recently installed at the end of the elevated walkway that will take guests under the coaster track and canopy. Disney shared photos this week of the canopy, a.k.a. the Upload Conduit, fully powered on. Cast Members previewing the attraction have already reported issues with size accommodation on the restrictive attraction vehicles.
