President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are delivering speeches at a winter meeting of the Democratic National Committee in Philadelphia on Friday.
The speeches come ahead of the president’s annual State of the Union address, which will take place on Tuesday. The remarks were expected to offer a preview of the duo’s presidential ticket in 2024 if Biden seeks reelection, according to the Washington Post.

Biden is also expected to warn about the threat that “extreme” Republicans will likely hold to their political agenda, a DNC official told the outlet.

Biden delivered remarks about the economy at a water treatment facility after the new jobs report was released. He also talked about upgrades to water infrastructure and lead pipe replacements. It marked the third speech the president has given on infrastructure this week. He gave speeches in New York and Baltimore.
