EastEnders anniversary trailer teases huge moments for Linda and more

A teaser for EastEnders' anniversary week has promised huge moments for some of the show's most prominent female characters.

New footage running on BBC telly this weekend has centred on life-changing moments for Linda Carter, Stacey Slater, Suki Panesar, Kathy Beale, Denise Fox and Sharon Watts airing later in February.

An ominous voiceover warns over a creepy laugh: "In a flash, everything changes."

This very special week kicks off beginning February 20, 2023 and commemorates 38 years since the mysterious death of Reg Cox rocked Walford back in 1985.

That episode actually aired on February 19, 1985, but the soap is observing the celebrations the following day due to the true anniversary falling on a weekend this year.

Soap bosses have already confirmed that a groundbreaking story for Kellie Bright's character Linda Carter will be a huge part of the anniversary week.

"She’s not going to get over Mick very quickly. She was just reunited with him then he was snatched away from her so it won’t be all smiles straight away, but there are big plans for Linda," producer Chris Clenshaw told us recently.

"She’s going to start shooting something in January that goes out in February and it’s something that we as a show haven’t done before. Linda’s at the centre of that."

The other ladies of Walford have been dealing with plenty of drama as well, with Stacey having to guide daughter Lily through her decision to keep her unborn child.

Suki Panesar continues to struggle in her marriage with manipulative Nish while Denise has battled to keep the spark alive in her marriage with Jack Branning as his kids face crises of their own.
