SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — The murder case against Buk Buk, the man accused of shooting and killing Aaron Lowe in September 2021, will move forward.
A judge made that determination after a preliminary hearing in Salt Lake County District Court Friday morning.
Aaron Lowe’s family was in court for proceedings but didn’t make any public comments.
Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill acknowledged the length of time between the murder and the preliminary hearing, but says it’s not unheard of.
“When we have homicide cases, I think people forget, the popular mindset is we watch things on television and they happen within the hour,” said Gill. “That’s not reality.”
The judge set April 10 as the next court date.
