Local Business Will Be Featured In Grammys Gift Bag
A local chocolatier in Penn Square Mall will have her tasty treats featured in the Grammys gift bags at the show Sunday.
Life is just like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get. But for Tabatha Carr, owner of Good Girl Chocolate, she knows it's an assortment dedicated to a healthy lifestyle.
“If you're dairy free we got you, if you're gluten free, we got you, we don't have any soy or preservatives in our product and we control all the ingredients,” Carr said.
Carr has always had a sweet tooth.
“I have been overweight all my life. When I was 16, I was put on my very first blood pressure pill and by the time I was 30 I was on three,” Carr said.
She created Good Girl Chocolate and makes all of the products from scratch.
“For a chocolate to be clean, you don't have to sacrifice flavor, you just have to know how to make it like I do,” Carr said.
Coming up with a recipe to help her transform her life for the better, not only satisfying Oklahomans taste buds, but those that will be attending the upcoming Grammys Award Show.
“For the Grammys we sent 150 pounds of chocolate. We shipped a lot of chocolate for the Grammys,” Carr said.
This is Carr's second time being featured at the Grammys. All performers and presenters will go home with Good Girl Chocolate chocolate bars.
“It's a dream come true for me because I’m so passionate about this chocolate and I’m so passionate about women's health. It's like this guilty pleasure, but it's not guilty it's all pleasure no guilt,” Carr said.
One of the chocolate bars featured in the Grammys gift bag is not in stores yet. Carr said she expects to have it on the shelves later this month.
