Police: 6 people charged for starting fire on multiple NJ Transit buses

New Jersey Transit police say they have arrested six people – including four juveniles – related to a fire that destroyed multiple buses.
Officials say that several NJ Transit buses were destroyed by fire in April 2022. They say that through the course of the investigation, they identified two adults and four juveniles linked to the fires. Each was charged by the end of 2022.
“We share this update as a reminder to all; anyone who trespasses on NJ Transit property and anyone who threatens the safety of the system will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” NJ Transit police write in a statement.
No one was hurt in the fires.
