Search for missing Lyft driver intensifies in Okeechobee County after vehicle found states away
Detectives in the city of Okeechobee are helping in the search for the missing Lyft driver, 74-year-old Gary Levin.
Detective Sgt. Aurelio Almazan spoke with WPBF 25 News Friday evening and said "We have canvassed the city looking for any surveillance video that we could think of to help us in the investigation."
Almazan said they've collected several videos, but there's nothing on them so far.
As of earlier in the day Friday, he confirmed that Okeechobee City Police were following up on a vehicle ping from Monday.
"A vehicle pinged in our city, and that's what we're trying to follow up on and try to collect video," Almazan said. "Just add pieces to the puzzle at this point."

Police shared an image of Levin with reporters.
It's a photo of Levin walking into a South Florida gas station. It was obtained during their investigation.
They are hoping someone will recognize the driver and alert authorities.
Levin's vehicle was found in North Carolina on Thursday, and he was not inside.
Employees like Mary Lookabill, who work in the shopping center where police were looking at surveillance video, hope he's found and is safe.
"I've just been praying that he will be found safe," Lookabill said.
