Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Milwaukee Bucks to victory on Thursday night against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Once down by 21 points, Giannis led the Bucks in a stunning comeback pulling out a 106-105 victory. The two-time MVP had 54 points, 19 rebounds and two assists.
Afterward, Giannis joked to the media that he was going to go to Culver's and order 50 cheeseburgers, reminiscent of his ordering of 50 chicken nuggets from Chick-fil-A after he scored 50 points to clinch the Bucks’ NBA title in 2021. In response, Culver's posted an amazing to the Bucks’ star that included an incredible donation.
Culvers Will Donate 54,000 Diapers to the Milwaukee Diaper Mission in Honor of Giannis
The Bucks tweeted a video clip of Giannis’ postgame press conference in which he said he was going to order 50 burgers from Culver's. The Wisconsin-based restaurant chain responded with a picture of a heart-warming offer:
When asked, “Scoring 50 is fun though, right?” in his press conference, Giannis said:
“Yeah, it’s definitely fun. I’m going to go to uh… Look, last time I went to Chick-Fil-A and got the nuggets. But now tomorrow I think I’m going to go to Culver’s. You know, I’m going to get 50 cheeseburgers and try to eat as many as I can. And for the rest, I think I’ll have my son eat them or I give them to my dog.
“You know why I got to Culver’s? Because Chick-fil-A did not give me no free meals.”
A Milwaukee Culver's responded to Giannis’ media session by offering him 54 free burgers. In addition, the chain will be donating 54,000 diapers to the Milwaukee Diaper Mission.
