4h agoStudents in the Roosevelt school district met with Mrs. Universe, Juanita Brown Ingram, at the Empowerment Forum.
Ingram became the first Black woman to be crowned Mrs. Universe in 2022. She is also an attorney, author and actress.
At the Empowerment Forum, she spoke about empowerment and building confidence.
"I only wanted to encourage young girls to know that intelligence is beautiful, and wisdom and intelligence wins the crown. It wins in life,” she said.
