PEORIA, Ill. – Bond has been set at $100,000 in the case of a Creve Coeur man who allegedly made three bomb threats to the Pere Marquette Hotel in downtown Peoria.
Court records indicate Val Burks was in court Friday afternoon, where a preliminary hearing date of March second also was scheduled.
Burks is charged with three Class 1 Felony counts of Falsely Making a Terrorist Threat.
25 News reports two of those threats were made last Saturday, with the other the morning of January 19th.
People staying in the hotel during all three incidents were moved to safe locations including the Peoria Civic Center while authorities searched for any potential bomb. None were found.
