Do you need warehouse space but don't have the money or desire to build your own facility? A warehouse on Sweeten Creek might be the answer.
Asheville’s first co-warehousing facility is set to open this spring. Ernest will offer rentable warehouse space to local makers and entrepreneurs, providing a place for them to grow or launch their businesses.
"Right now, we’re in pre-sales mode," Ernest's Jami Daniels said. "We’re rounding the finish line with getting everything dialed in. You’ll see, we’re still in construction mode, but we’re really close.”
Ernest will offer renters a secure facility for such things as storing inventory, receiving and sending shipments and more.
"When you think about the services they offer, from the shipping and receiving, so that I can be out on sales calls, they’re able to take our mail for us, and handle that aspect of it and then just storage overall,” Floor Coverings International of Western North Carolina's Brad Currin said.
Ernest plans to hold a grand opening March 15.
