It may be Pro Bowl week, but the eyes of many in the NFL world are already looking towards the spring’s free agent class. In their annual top 100 free agents list, Pro Football Focus named three New York Giants within the top 61: quarterback Daniel Jones, running back Saquon Barkley, and safety Julian Love.

Saquon Barkley (No. 12)

After two consecutive injury-riddled seasons, Saquon Barkley reminded everyone in the NFL why he was the second overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Barkley rushed for more than 1,300 yards and scored 10 touchdowns, and was once again a factor in the receiving game with more 300 yards through the air. At 26, Barkley is still relatively young, but with the current lifespan of running backs in the modern NFL his longevity at the position will undoubtedly be a point of conversation for Giants GM Joe Schoen. While Barkley may be looking for a long extension, PFF believes his next deal will be just one season, worth $10.9 million fully guaranteed.

Daniel Jones (No. 13)

Few players in the NFL earned themselves more of a payday this season than Jones. With the season presenting a make or break opportunity for the signal caller out of Duke and an underwhelming cast of characters in his receiving corps, Jones put together the best season of his career under head coach Brian Daboll, totaling 22 touchdowns to just five interceptions. After leading Big Blue to a postseason win against the Vikings — the team’s first in 11 years — PFF projects Jones to earn a four-year extension worth $160 million ($115 million guaranteed).

Julian Love (No. 61)

As a defensive captain, Love was a force in coverage all season long. The safety notched two interceptions, 80 tackles (seventh among safeties), and set a career mark with 1,006 snaps played. For a Giants defense that will look to maintain its identity heading into the 2023 campaign, many would expect Love to return to East Rutherford come training camp. PFF projects him to receive a relatively team-friendly deal, worth $23.25 million over three years ($15 million total guaranteed).
