Sons of Thunder

The Southwest Kansas Chapter of the Sons of Thunder will meet today, February 2, at the Shelton Memorial Church, 316 N. Main, Ulysses. Come join us the first Thursday of each month at the announced locations for a meal, fellowship, worship and a guest speaker. Bowling

The young farmers and ranchers of the Grant County Farm Bureau Association would like to invite you to an evening of bowling, from 4-6 p.m., Saturday, February 4, at Kingpins Bowling Lanes, 421 N. Colorado, Ulysses.The event is free for families and individuals over 18. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Rec Board Meeting

Grant County Recreation Board will meet at 5:30 p.m., Monday, February 6, at the Recreation office.

Commission

Grant County Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m., Tuesday, Feburary 7, at the Grant County Courthouse. The meeting is open to the public.

City Council

Ulysses City Council will meet at 5 p.m., Wednesday, February 8, at City Hall. The meeting is open to the public.

Gun & Coin Show

The 50th Annual Ulysses Gun Club Gun and Coin Show will be from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m., February 11, and from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., February 12, at the Grant County Civic Center. Vendors will be set up with guns, coins, knives, jewelry, crafts, toys, and much more. There will be free virtual laser hunting games. Tate's BBQ will serve all day. The School Board’s next meeting will be at 7 p.m., Monday, February 13, at Joyce School. This meeting is open to the public.

Pink Out

Cancer survivors will be honored at the basketball game February 14 as part of the Pink Out fundraiser campaign. If you or a family member would like to be included, please contact Becky Zerr, 620-356-5570.

Tractor Parade

The third annual Ulysses High School FFA Week Tractor Parade is planned for 3 p.m., February 21. Tractor line-up will be at 2:30 p.m., east of Ulysses High School. The parade will follow the homecoming parade route. For more information contact Mrs. Rice at mrice@usd214.org.

Medical Fund

A medical fund has been set up at Golden Plains Credit Union for Solia Ochoa to help with medical expenses and travel. Donations can be dropped off at any GPCU location or mailed to GPCU PO Box 868 Ulysses, KS 67880.
