Cole Hamels is looking for more.
Hamels, 39, hasn’t pitched in a game since 2020, but the former Philadelphia Phillies ace and 2008 World Series MVP wants to make a comeback.

The New York Post’s Jon Heyman reports: Cole Hamels is receiving calls after an impressive throwing session in Arlington, Texas. He was 88-91 mph on the gun and appears to have a good chance at a comeback.
Earlier this week, Heyman reported: Cole Hamels threw for teams today in Arlington, Texas, and was said to look “insanely good.” Predicts he will receive interest off this session.
Hamels made one start for the Atlanta Braves in 2020. The left-hander signed late in the 2021 season with the Los Angeles Dodgers but never pitched because of arm issues. Over the last year, he had three surgeries to address issues with his left shoulder, his right knee and his left foot.

In his last full season in 2019 with the Chicago Cubs, Hamels was 7-7 with a 3.81 ERA. He has a career record of 163-122 with a 3.43 ERA and 1.18 WHIP in 422 career starts. During the Phillies’ World Series run in 2008, Hamels dominated the postseason, winning the NLCS and World Series MVP awards.
