Business CheckUp with Enoch Tarver Law at Chamber’s Third Thursday Business Builder

In addition to your annual registration with the Secretary of State, there are several checklist items you should complete each year to keep your business happy and healthy. The first quarter is the perfect time to complete a Business CheckUp of housekeeping items like annual training, policy updates and compliance. On Thursday, February 16, Ed Enoch of Enoch Tarver Law Firm will talk about meeting deadlines and keeping up with the yearly formalities of operating a business at the Augusta Metro Chamber’s Third Thursday Business Builder.
Edward (Ed) Enoch has practiced law in Augusta for 30 years. Ed’s practice focuses on representing closely-held businesses and their owners, to include formation, transition, business planning, estate planning, employment law and real estate. He graduated magna cum laude from Washington and Lee School of Law in 1992. Before becoming an attorney, Ed served ten years in the United States Navy submarine force as a nuclear power plant operator. Ed has served in numerous leadership positions in his community including: President of the Augusta-Aiken Society for Human Resource Management Chapter, Legislative Director for the Georgia State SHRM Council, President of the Augusta South Rotary Club, and Chairman of the Board of the Metro Family Y. In 2013 Ed was honored as the SHRM Georgia HR Leader of the Year due in part to his contribution to an award-winning program to bring employment skills to Drug Court participants. In 2008 Ed received the United Way’s highest volunteer honor, the Alvin W. Vogtle Volunteer of the Year Award.
Third Thursday Business Builder begins at 11:30 am in the Chamber Conference Room located inside the Augusta Riverfront Center (One Tenth St. Suite 120, Augusta, Ga 30901). Attendance is complimentary for Chamber members and $15 for prospective members with lunch provided. Advanced registration is required at augustametrochamber.com.
