One month into serving five communities, the Wyoming Area Regional Police force has hit the ground running.
The police force combines the police departments of Exeter, Exeter Township, Wyoming, West Wyoming, and West Pittston.
The force will soon be taking over former Pennsylvania State Police Troop P headquarters off Wyoming Avenue, but in the meantime are using the former West Pittston police headquarters.
FOX56's Jake Sarwar caught up with Chief D.F. Pace to learn how things have been since mobilizing a month ago.
"We're meeting our goals for the first month, which our objectives were increase visibility, increase professionalism, and a more timely response to 9-1-1 calls and we're meeting those goals in a very fine way" says Chief Pace.
Chief Pace says that the police force has been receiving good feedback from the community, with many residents noticing an increase in patrols.
