For anyone following The Bengals, here's a quick recap of the last five months:

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow had an emergency appendectomy before the season started.

Buffalo Bills' defensive back Damar Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest on the field in Paycor Stadium during Monday Night Football, prompting an unprecedented cancellation of the game.

The Bengals won 10 games in a row and made it to the AFC Championship game, only to have a return trip to the Super Bowl dreams crushed in the waning minutes of the game.

Covering every moment? Enquirer Bengals reporter Kelsey Conway and Enquirer sports columnist Jason Williams. Before Conway takes a quick vacation to recharge for off-season coverage and Williams turns his attention to baseball and soccer they joined The Enquirer's "That's So Cincinnati" podcast to break down what it has been like to cover the Bengals this year.

Bengals beat writer Kelsey Conway talks with Bengals cornerback Chidobe Awuzie.

They went into the season wondering, was last year a fluke? They were glad to see it wasn't.

Conway said she enjoyed learning the Bengals "had the answer to every test."

Williams noted the Bengals might not be going to the 2023 Super Bowl but said they're "a better team this year than last year."
