Casualty's Jacob Masters is about to encounter the toughest task of his medical career so far.
It's been confirmed that a double episode is coming to our screens next week on Saturday, February 11 from 8pm to 9.40pm, with a conundrum for Jacob – played by Charles Venn – driving the action.

According to an episode breakdown, while out on a jog in the hills, Jacob comes across someone who's been trapped between rocks for the past three days.
Unable to raise any kind of alarm due to their location's remoteness, he's forced into contemplating whether or not to amputate.
So far, it sounds like we've got a 127 Hours remake on our hands.
Later on, Jacob's heroism impresses management consultant Marcus Fidel so much that Marcus is prepared to collaborate with Jacob in addressing the skeleton staff issues within the emergency department.

In doing so, Marcus urges emergency medicine consultant Dylan Keogh to drop the persisting care home patients problem, yet Dylan's obsession risks him losing his job.
Elsewhere on the ward, Paige Allcott accidentally falls asleep in the staff room due to the burnout over assisting Rash Masum.
Back in November, Casualty took home a prestigious Rose d'Or award for Best Soap or Telenovela – fending off strong competition from fellow BBC One show EastEnders.
Responding to the honour, David Hide actor Jason Durr shared pictures of himself with the trophy on social media, tweeting: "Winner winner Rose d'Or dinner! So delighted that Nurse David Hide's storyline on Casualty has won a prestigious Rose d'Or award."
