UPDATE [7:05am] WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – Some counties throughout West Virginia have begun to announce plans for changes in school operation schedules for Friday, February 3, 2023, in the face of projected temperature drops.
At the time of writing on Friday morning, the following counties have indicated closings or delays for school operations on Friday:
Fayette County – 2 Hour Delay
Greenbrier County – 2 Hour Delay
Marion County – Nontraditional Learning Day
Monongalia County – 2 Hour Delay
Monroe County – 2 Hour Delay
Raleigh County – 2 Hour Delay
Summers County – 2 Hours Delay
Tucker County – 2 Hour Delay
Wyoming County – 3 Hour Delay
These announcements follow a handful of closings & delays which occurred Thursday due to temperature drops coupled with precipitation.
