Celebration of Life for Daniel will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel in Brownwood; burial will be private at a later date. Ronnie Lee Elliott passed away Monday, March 13, 2023 in Rockledge, Florida at the age of 76. Ronnie was born May 18, 1946 in Baird to Horace E. “Hob” and Mable Dean Wilson Elliott. He attended Baird High School, and entered the US Navy at age 17. He worked as a general contractor in the construction field in Brownwood from 1976 until he moved to Florida in 2018.

We were approached by another Brewery and Winery several months ago, who made us an offer we simply could not refuse. And yes, this means Teddy’s will be moving to another part of the State and no longer housed in Brownwood, Texas. It is Good News for the brand and will certainly create some changes here at what was the Flagship of our company in the Historic Weakley Watson Building. This was by no means an easy decision, and after serious and thoughtful reflection we know this is what will allow our brand to flourish and grow statewide. The private company who has acquired Teddy’s has serious end-roads to brewing and distribution in Central Texas and Fredericksburg, Texas. We are very excited about what this can mean going forward with the Teddy’s Brewhaus brand.

The Brownwood Bass Club’s 50th Annual Open Tournament will take place Sunday, April 2 at Lake Brownwood. Hours will be 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the weigh-in line begins at 2 p.m. at the spillway. Contestants must check in between noon and 7 p.m. Saturday, April 1 or between 5 and 6 a.m. Sunday, April 2, also at the spillway.

GRAHAM – The Brownwood Lions placed 4th out of 19 teams and the Lady Lions came in 13th Saturday during the Possum Kingdom Relays, hosted by Graham High School. The Lions generated 55 points which left them behind Brock (121), Breckenridge (72), and Vernon (64) in the Class 3A-5A division.

Tickets for The Great Brownwood Baking Show, hosted by Victory Life Church in Brownwood at 6:30 p.m. Friday, are still available. The Great Brownwood Baking Show will featured three teams of two competing in a live dinner show. Sixty percent of proceeds with go to Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Rest of proceeds benefit other Victory Life community outreach partners like The Ark, The Pregnancy Center, Good Samaritan and more.
