Tarasenko will compete against seven other NHL All-Stars in the Accuracy Shooting event. Participants will shoot pucks at four destructible targets in each corner of the net. The player that hits all four targets in the shortest amount of time will be declared the winner of the competition.
Many of the fan-favorite skills competition events will return this season, including Upper Deck NHL Fastest Skater, GEICO NHL Hardest Shot, and Great Clips Breakaway Challenge. Three new events - Enterprise NHL Splash Shot, Chipotle NHL Pitch 'n Puck and Discover NHL Tendy Tandem - will make their debuts.
Tarasenko will be making his fourth NHL All-Star appearance. Last season, Jordan Kyrou won the Fastest Skater competition, clocking in at 13.55 seconds.
All-Star Weekend will continue on Saturday with the 2023 Honda NHL All-Star Game at 2 p.m. CT on ABC and ESPN+. The three-game tournament - featuring a 3-on-3 format - will pit All-Stars from the Central Division against the Pacific Division, and All-Stars from the Metropolitan Division against the Atlantic Division. The winning teams will then compete for the All-Star crown.
