Larry Bird roasted Dominique Wilkins through a text sent to the Pacers president.

The Boston Celtics have been incredibly lucky in terms of having superstar talent don the jersey of the iconic NBA franchise. Evidently, the organization has had its fair share of incredibly talented superstars play for the team, but even among them Larry Bird is on a different level.

Bird is on tier 1 of the Boston Celtics' all-time GOAT pyramid alongside the late Bill Russell. Speaking of Larry Bird, one of the greatest abilities that he had in his arsenal was his trash-talking.

Former NBA player Dominique Wilkins is certainly aware of it. Even during Wilkins' rookie season, Bird claimed that he liked the future basketball Hall of Famer, but proceeded to talk trash to him.

Larry Bird Is Still Roasting Dominique Wilkins

Both Larry Bird and Dominique Wilkins have retired from the NBA several years ago, but it seems like Larry still likes to roast his former rival. Indiana Pacers president Kevin Pritchard recently shared a text he received from Bird that proved that the Celtics legend still never lets go of a chance to roast Wilkins.

"Can you please tell your boy to put a hand up? I think that is the pose for the statue."

Bird sent a text to Pritchard featuring a picture of a photo where Bird was shooting over Dominique Wilkins. But in the photo Wilkins didn't have his hand up to try and stop Bird's attempt. This gave Larry Bird an easy chance to roast the Hawks legend.

During their playing days, the two players have had a fierce rivalry, but it seems now it has turned into funny banter. After all, Wilkins simply laughed about the joke made about him by Bird. It is great to see former NBA players still sharing enough respect for each other that they can joke around with each other. Be it on social media or in real life.
