Texas Cornerback Leonard Moore Is Ready To Make His Commitment
One of the top defenders on the board for Notre Dame is ready to make his college commitment. Round Rock (Texas) High School cornerback Leonard Moore will be making his decision on Saturday, February 4th.
The 6-2, 175-pound cornerback visited Notre Dame this past weekend as the Fighting Irish staff looks to continue building a connection with him.. That visit came less than two weeks after Moore earned an offer from the Irish staff. Notre Dame has been working to put its cornerback board together for the last month, and the staff decided to offer Moore and make a hard push for him.
Notre Dame has a cornerback commitment already from Cincinnati (Ohio) Moeller standout Karson Hobbs, who the Irish flipped from South Carolina. Corners coach Mike Mickens has been on fire on the recruiting trail in recent seasons, and he is in position to be a bit picky in the 2024 class. After getting out on the road and hosting Moore, the Irish decided he was a top priority. Now the staff hopes to close on Moore, who is being courted by many programs, and his offer list is only going to get bigger.
Moore has been offered by TCU, Oregon, Baylor, Missouri, Colorado, Kansas State, Washington State, Arizona, Arizona State, Duke, Houston and Vanderbilt.
Moore will announce his decision on 247Sports at 12:00 PM ET, and Irish Breakdown will be live during and after his decision to break down whatever he decides.
Moore has racked up 71 tackles, 7 interceptions and 20 passes defensed the last two seasons for the Dragons.
