Antonio Mackey is a name known to Baltimore Police.
Someone investigators say is a repeat offender of harassing drivers on corners across Baltimore, for turning down a squeegee service.
On July 7th of 2022, David Jones claims he encountered Mackey at the intersection of Light and Conway.
“I start to shake, you know, I just, I don’t feel like I used to," said Jones.
That's how he lives now after an altercation with Mackey, according to his attorney Thiru Vignarajah.
“He too was engaged by an individual who brandished a firearm," said Vignarajah.
The other individual, was Timothy Reynolds, shot and killed, on the same corner just hours later. A 15-year-old is charged in that separate shooting.
Antonio Mackey was arrested for assault and faced a judge. However, he was eventually released, pending a hearing.
During that time, Mackey is alleged to have robbed a local store, stealing a bottle of Windex.
The U.S. Marshalls tracked Mackey and arrested him once again. He is due in court Friday, February 3rd.
David Jones is demanding justice in court.
"There needs to be accountability across the board. Stop treating these people as if they’re victims and treat the victim as a victim," said Jones.
Thiru Vignarajah echoes that sentiment.
“You've got to send a signal that these cases have consequences. That this violent conduct is real, and it is destroying our city," said Vignarajah.
