The 2023 Senior Bowl week is underway, with the game on February 4. Scouts, coaches, agents, and front office personnel have converged on Mobile, Alabama, to scout the influx of prospects set to enter the NFL. This is the biggest scouting bowl game, and there are always excellent prospects showing off.

This year is no different, and the Denver Broncos also have a coach on the staff in Zach Grossi, their offensive quality control coach for the 2022 season. Now, it remains to be seen whether Grossi will be on Denver's staff for the coming season, but if he is, it can provide some additional insight into these prospects.

That said, with all the talent at the Senior Bowl, it was tough to pick only eight as the ones to really watch, but here they are. These eight prospects could help the Broncos in specific ways, making them worth watching.

National Offense

Jaren Hall | QB | BYU

There are medical concerns with Hall and not having an ideal build for many folks in the NFL. However, he is a dynamic athlete with a good arm that can bring a lot to an NFL offense.

Hall's mechanics are fine, which is something to watch during the Senior Bowl. For some, he is on the cusp of being that fifth quarterback behind Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud, Will Levis, and Anthony Richardson due to the injury to Hendon Hooker.

Dawand Jones | OT | Ohio State

Jones is a massive being, and he should thrive in one-on-one drills, but it's worth keeping an eye on if he struggles and, if he does, what he struggles against. On tape, he had some issues against quicker, speedy pass rushers, and plenty of sack artists can challenge him that way at the Senior Bowl.

Jones already helped himself with a wingspan of 89.5 inches, the average wingspan of someone 7-foot-5, with Jones standing 6-foot-8.

American Offense

Max Duggan | QB | TCU

The key for Duggan will be showing improvement in his mechanics and footwork. The practices can often be favorable for quarterbacks, but when you are a mechanical mess like Duggan, it can help your stock.

Jonathan Mingo | WR | Ole Miss

Mingo has shown plenty of playmaking ability, especially after the catch, and he can highlight that during the week of practice. His hands aren't an issue, but Mingo can help himself by showing a larger catch radius than he does on tape and if there is more there to challenge vertically.

National Defense

Andre Carter III | Edge | Army

One of the class's biggest freaks in size, length, and athleticism. However, Carter has to show signs of putting it all together and improving his technique to weaponize his length and athleticism better.

Showing additions to his pass-rush repertoire also can be a help. Entering the season, he was viewed as a first-round prospect because all the traits are there to work with.

Riley Moss | DB | Iowa

Entering the season, Moss was one of the higher-rated defensive backs in the class after a four-interception season in 2021, which he followed by allowing four touchdowns to one interception in 2022, so he has dropped some. There is also a concern about missed tackles, with 17 over the last two seasons.

So, where to play Moss is a bit of a question, and answering that at the Senior Bowl could help him while assuaging concerns about a supposed lack of length hindering his game in the NFL.

American Defense

Zacch Pickens | DL | South Carolina

Pickens is a strong run defender, but he needs to show more as a pass rusher after his first move fails. He knows how to break blocks down. This week can help him improve against double teams on those drills while showing technical consistency.

Julius Brents | CB | Kansas State

Brents is a big and physical corner with concerns working in man coverage, leaving many questioning his versatility in coverage schemes. However, if he can show his ability to work in man coverage and not have him limited to zone, it will be a tremendous boost to his stock.
