The NBA Trade Deadline is approaching fast, and many teams in the NBA are in talks about making a few final trades in an attempt to make a last-ditched effort to improve their roster for the season. The Los Angeles Lakers are, unfortunately, one of those teams in the league right now.

They may have the trio of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook on the roster, but the Lakers still have an underwhelming record in the Western Conference. As of now, the Purple and Gold have a 24-28 record.

Keeping that in mind, there are many rumors about the Lakers being very active around the NBA Trade Deadline. The organization recently traded for Rui Hachimura, but they can definitely surround LeBron James with more help in the coming days.

NBA Analyst Suggests A 3-Team Blockbuster Trade Between The Lakers, Hornets, And 76ers

The rumor mill has once again suggested that Russell Westbrook is in talks about being traded from the Lakers. It was recently revealed that Westbrook might get traded to the Charlotte Hornets around the NBA Trade Deadline. Keeping that in mind, Jack Simone of Heavy Sports has suggested a 3-team blockbuster trade between the Lakers, Hornets, and 76ers.

Via Heavy Sports:

Lakers receive: Tobias Harris, Terry Rozier, Matisse Thybulle

76ers receive: Kelly Oubre Jr., Patrick Beverley, Cody Martin

Hornets receive: Russell Westbrook, Jaden Springer, 2027 1st-Round Pick (Top-3 Protected via LAL), 2029 1st-Round Pick (via PHI), 2023 2nd-Round Pick (via LAL), 2025 2nd-Round Pick (via LAL)

This deal would finally put an end to the Westbrook experiment in LA. The Lakers would dump him to the Hornets, landing three win-now pieces in the process.

As explained by Simone in his original article, the trade will be beneficial for the Los Angeles Lakers in terms of providing LeBron James enough support that he can take the team to the NBA playoffs.

On top of that, it will also solve the Lakers' season-long issue of finding a destination for Russell Westbrook. As good as Russ has been in this season, at times, he has struggled several times as well.
