Planting in February for Pollinators: It’s a great time to plant milkweed! To grow, they need to experience cold weather like they would in nature. The folks at APSU have prepped the seed, and after planting, you will set the pots outside for the winter and wait for the seeds to germinate in early spring. Just bring an empty gallon milk jug or a clear food container. The event is free, but pre-registration is required. To register, you can email clarksvilletnhealthyyards@gmail.com or call (931) 221-6480. The event will be from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday in Room C220 in the Sundquist Science Complex at Austin Peay.
