Someone in North Carolina won $1 million in Wednesday night's Powerball drawing.

GARNER, N.C. — Someone in North Carolina won $1 million in Wednesday night's Powerball drawing.

The $2 winning ticket was purchased from the Food Lion on N.C. Highway 50 in Garner. It was one of two tickets to win $1 million in the nationwide drawing; the other winner was in Florida.

The winner will have 180 days from the Feb. 1 drawing to claim their prize.

No one won Wednesday's jackpot, so the jackpot fo Saturday has grown to $700 million, the sixth largest jackpot in Powerball history.
