Police: Second arrest made in theft of hairless cat, designer bags from Shelton hotel
Police arrested a 24-year-old woman in the theft of a hairless cat and designer bags from a Shelton hotel totaling over $8,000, investigators say.
Toni Douglas-Alves of Bridgeport was charged her with burglary, larceny, conspiracy to commit burglary, and conspiracy to commit larceny.

Douglas-Alves was released on a $10,000 bond and given a court date of Feb. 22 at Derby Court.
This is the second arrest in this case. Zyair Lopez, 20, of Bridgeport was charged Wednesday.
The arrests stem from a burglary complaint at a hotel room on Jan. 22. Several items were reported stolen, including the victim’s hairless cat Princess.
Police obtained and executed a search warrant during this investigation and recovered items that were stolen from the hotel room but say they did not locate the victim's cat.
Police are still trying to locate the cat.
