HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. (WGXA) -- A lot of claps today from families all across Warner Robins as they watched their loved ones sign on the dotted line.
At Northside High School 9 student-athletes signed:
Notably, former Game Changer, Kyle Mixon who is a Northside offensive lineman. Kyle signed with the University of Kentucky.
Quinton Lewis, also an offensive lineman for Northside signed with Yale University.
Other signees were Mikell Roberts, RJ Bellflower, Brandon Wilson, Tyler Williams, Duke McClinton, Isaiah Harvey, and DJ Hardy.
When I caught up with two Northside Eagles they said it was a moment they'd been waiting on for some time.
"This is I would say the greatest moment of my life. All this work and dedication has finally paid off, it's really exciting. It's a great day to be here with all of my family, guys on the team that I consider my family," Mixon said.
I then traveled to Houston County High School to see their safety and tight end, Authur Brown, the fourth sign to play at Charleston Southern.
Brown finished his senior year with 64 solo tackles and two interceptions as a safety, 17 receptions, and four touchdowns as a tight end. That's just a few of his accomplishments.
When I spoke with Brown, he said there was no better feeling than to be signing on his birthday. He has one goal at the next level.
"The level is to make a name for myself, the big dream is to make it to the NFL, but I'm going to focus on that education and just keep balling out on the field," Brown said.
In Perry, the Panthers had 14 signees from a number of sports including football, cheerleading, baseball, and softball.
I also stopped by Veterans where they had signees to four different colleges:
Cody Daugherty and Hannah Cantrell committed to South Georgia State.
Jaron Benjamin committed to Reinhardt University.
Damare Franklin committed to Alcorn State.
