MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — MCPSS say that a threat on social media against Theodore High School was made Wednesday night.
The person making the post was quickly identified and the situation was handled according to the Student Code of Contact.
The case was solved and there is no imminent threat at the high school, but out of an abundance of caution there is an increased law enforcement presence on campus.
Coincidentally, today was to be a random police K-9 and metal detector sweep of the school, which went ahead as planned. According to the school system, no contraband was located.
The sweep operation was completely unrelated to the threat, according to the school system.
