Buffalo Public Schools change course and decide to cancel classes on Friday

They originally announced they would do remote learning in the morning before deciding to close down completely in the afternoon.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Public Schools have changed course and decided to close schools on Friday, Feb. 3 due to the cold temperatures and cancel classes for students and staff.

They originally announced they would do remote learning in the morning before deciding to close down completely in the afternoon.

Students are being sent home with non-perishable food for lunch. 

The district also announced that all athletic competitions are canceled Friday, and there will be no Saturday Community School, My Brother's Keeper, or other school activities on Saturday, Feb. 4. 

The Saturday Sectional Indoor Track competition at Houghton and Buffalo State will still be held and our track athletes will participate.
