Tennessee Titans' Super Bowl surprise is a touchdown with adopted teen
17-year-old Max Roman had a difficult upbringing, bouncing around the foster system in Tennessee.
He ended up at Youth Villages, an organization that tries to hep older kids in state custody who are about to turn 18 and age out.
Youth Villages placed Max with a couple in Hohenwald, Tennessee. for a weekend. Max connected with the couple, Kevin and Suzanne Richardson, and they all decided they’d like to stay together permanently.
"They're just always joyful and they're always playful," said Max. "I felt like I connected with them. It made me feel more at home."
Since joining the Richardson family, Max has straight As in school and is working part-time to save money for college.

Max is also a Tennessee Titans fan, so his Youth Villages case worker contacted the Titans to tell them about the teen.
The Titans invited Max to their practice facility for a tour — a tour with lots of surprises.
In the locker room, Max saw a game jersey hanging up with his name on it. He also got a Titans helmet and a bag full of Titans gear.
Finally, Titans tight end, Austin Hooper, gave Max two tickets to the Super Bowl! So Max is counting down the days until he can go to the big event. He plans to take his adoptive father.
