Willie A. Wall King, age 88, of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Jubilee House.
Mrs. King was born July 14, 1934, to the late Fred W. Wall and Fannie Mae Reed in Davidson County, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George King and her brother, Gilbert Wall.
Willie is survived by her daughter, Susan (Don) Towe; three sons, Rev. Larry (Yewelline) King, CW5 (R) Charles (Michelle) King, William “Will” (Donna) King; her sister, Betty Empson; her brother, Carlton Wall; eight grandchildren, Dr. Christopher Towe, Marian Towe, Charles “Brandon” King, Hannah King, Noah King, Morgan King, Laura King, Aaron King and six great-grandchildren, Eleanor Towe, Atlas Towe, Jordan King, Addie King, Hadalyn King and Madilynn King.
Willie retired as the first female Microbiologist employed in the city of Clarksville from Memorial Hospital and was a member of First Baptist Church. She was also a Master Gardner. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, February 3, 2023, from 4:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service with Reverend Larry King officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery.
