The Moroccan had completed all the formalities like the medical and contract and even got a 'Here We Go!' from Fabrizio Romano , but the incorrect paperwork meant that he was unable to sign fully with the Parisians.
Rumours swiftly began circulating on social media that Chelsea sent the wrong papers to PSG on purpose, a convenient theory with Ziyech's performances taking a slight upturn in the past couple of games, leading to beliefs that Graham Potter wants to keep the winger, but with Ziyech also said to be unhappy about the situation, it leaves the Blues with egg on their face.

Talksport presenter Jim White gave his thoughts on the matter during the White and Jordan show on the station, saying he doesn't think that Chelsea haven't handled this situation very well with their focus elsewhere.
" The bottom line is, Chelsea obviously haven’t paid particular attention to this as they’ve had bigger fish to fry and they’ve dealt with it in a fashion that probably wasn’t professional. They’ve put their energies into other things."
White went on to accuse Ziyech's agent of playing his part in handling the situation properly.
" Maybe the agent would have been better served staying in London rather than carrying his player’s bags across the channel and got on with making sure the weakest link in the chain, which was Chelsea, put pen to paper in the right fashion ."
It remains to be seen what the immediate future holds for Ziyech at Chelsea, but you would like to think that his positive performances in the last few matches mean that he won't be cast out of the team and Potter continues to select him.
