7 weeks later: What we know about TikTok star Ali Spice, killed in car crash in DeLand
Seven weeks ago, a wrong-way driver plowed into a vehicle on State Road 44 near DeLand, killing three people, among them TikTok star Ali Spice.
In addition to Spice, whose real name was Alexandra Dulin, (who was 21 and originally from Indianapolis), Kyle Moser, 25, of Daytona Beach, and Ava Fellerman, 20, originally from Pennsylvania, also died in the crash. The driver, Dulin’s boyfriend, Devin Perkins, 21, of New Smyrna Beach, was seriously injured.
The driver of the wrong-way vehicle, a Toyota Tacoma, fled the scene on foot after the crash and has not been charged.

Despite accusations from Moser’s family that an Orange City man might be the driver, the Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash. No charges have been filed, nor has the name of the driver been released by police.
"Investigators have collected evidence and they have to wait for the lab results from (the Florida Department of Law Enforcement)," FHP Public Affairs Officer and Lt. Tara Crescenzi said via email to The News-Journal. "Once charges or an arrest has been made, then I will notify all media."
Dulin’s family held her services early January in Indiana.

Waitress turned TikTok star
Dulin was a Hooters waitress when she began gaining popularity on TikTok, where she became known as Ali Spice, sharing her life on the job. She had almost 1 million followers on the platform.
Dulin’s father: ‘We continue to love our daughter’
Dulin’s father, Jimmy Dulin, told FOX 35 News in December that he last spoke to his daughter the day before the crash to discuss plans for her trip home to Indiana for Christmas.
Impact on social media
In an interview with The News-Journal, Jimmy Dulin said he and his family – his wife, Tamara, and his 23-year-old son, JD – have learned about how Alexandra made a difference for those who followed her.
He said she would send supportive messages to people who shared their struggles with addiction and abuse, taking the time to respond to direct messages individually.
Ali Spice 'lived her life to the fullest’
Also according to Jimmy Dulin, about 1,000 people attended his daughter’s services, which took place in early January in Indiana.
He estimates that around 20% of attendees came from out of state.
