We love to love Minnie here at Tokyo Disneyland, so much that for the third time, the winter is focused around Minnie Mouse! During the winter Minnie Besties Bash promotion featuring a cavalcade and new food, we stopped over at The Gazebo to warm up with a new Hot Strawberry Drink available through the end of March.
Hot Strawberry Drink – ¥600 ($4.65)
The drink is available at The Gazebo in Adventureland at Tokyo Disneyland. At Tokyo DisneySea, you can find it at Zambini Brothers Ristorante in Mediterranean Harbor, and Bayside Takeout in Port Discovery.
The drink itself isn’t even the star of the show, that honor goes to this incredible paper sleeve designed for the cup.
The sleeve stretches up virtually the entire cup, with frilled top and bottom between a red with white polka dot pattern. The Minnie Besties Bash logo sits at the very center.
On the sides is art of Minnie blowing a kiss onto a paper handle with hearts coming out. Cast Members very explicitly told us that we should not hold the drink by this handle as it would rip.
The drink itself is essentially like hot strawberry milk, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The strawberry flavor is just right without being overpoweringly sweet and doesn’t have a chemical aftertaste. This, of course, allows the drink to go down smoothly. The cheese whip atop had no actual flavor but kept the strawberry bits from getting soggy in the drink.
All in all, you really can’t go wrong with a hot and just-right sweet drink in the frigid Tokyo winters. On our visit, it was breezy and 31 degrees Fahrenheit out, making the Hot Strawberry Drink a perfect winter treat that we can’t recommend enough when you visit Tokyo Disneyland.
