School is canceled again today in the Blue Ridge district where Superintendent Matt Kimball is getting a lot of love on his Facebook page where he's posting unusual videos announcing his decisions about school closings.

On Wednesday Kimball posted a video showing himself skiing on the iced-over parking lot at Blue Ridge High School.

As he moves toward the camera, he slides to a stop and looks into the lens and addresses, "Blue Ridge parents, students and staff. It's still icy out here. Looks like we're going to have to cancel school on Thursday. Stay safe and stay warm."

In an earlier video, Kimball can be seen sprinting along the ice-covered parking lot coming to a sliding sideways stop in front of the camera, leaning in to announce "no school tomorrow. Stay warm and stay in bed."

In an outtake, Kimball runs at the camera and begins his sideways slide only to lose his balance and fall head over heels.

In a comment, Kimball says, "yesterday's first take was a disaster."

A comment from a Blue Ridge teacher and coach says these videos do not do justice all this man does for Blue Ridge ISD. "He turned the hierarchy of leadership on its head & his influence permeates every aspect of who we are. A pleasure to serve alongside him."
