Meijer employee caught shoplifting from store: Seven Hills Police Blotter

SEVEN HILLS, Ohio

Shoplifting: Broadview Road

On Jan. 2, a Meijer asset protection team leader called police after observing an employee stealing merchandise from the Broadview Road store.

An arriving officer was shown surveillance footage from eight different incidents over the last month in which the woman would conceal items in her Meijer shopping bag and leave the store without paying.

The stolen merchandise included cleansing cloths, sandwich crackers, hair gel, a toothbrush, dip, lip balm, a sub sandwich, a fruit cup and body lotion.

The total amount of stolen merchandise was nearly $100. The Seven Hills woman was charged with theft.
