The entire Wildcat Family is mourning the loss of former student-athlete Ty Wells who competed as a member of our swimming and diving program from 2018 to 2022.
Ty was a decorated swimmer, dedicated student and outstanding leader who was a member of our Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and was passionate about serving in the community. He was also known for his smile that would light up a room and was a compassionate Wildcat who cared for all of his teammates as well as student-athletes from all our programs. Ty earned his college degree in May and was very proud to represent the University of Arizona as a Wildcat. We are grateful for his impact in the lives of countless members of the Arizona Wildcat community.
We are keeping the Wells family as well as Ty's friends, teammates, colleagues and loved ones in our thoughts as we remember this tremendous young man.
TICKET PRICES FOR 2023-24
As many of you read last week in my direct communication, we have announced price increases for tickets for our football, men's basketball and women's basketball programs for the 2023-24 seasons. This decision was not taken lightly and came after a detailed evaluation of affordability, market standards and current economic conditions. As we strive to remain competitive nationally in the ever-changing environment of college athletics, we will increase prices by an average of 15 percent depending on the sport and seating location.
Arizona Athletics has a legacy of incredible fan support and being a national leader in attendance in a variety of sports. This Arizona advantage creates a first-class atmosphere for our student-athletes to compete in and for the Wildcat Family to attend. As we continue to showcase our student-athletes competing at the highest levels, our athletics department will remain focused on our affordability and ensuring fans have the best experience possible at Arizona Stadium and McKale Center.

Football's Signing Day event is tomorrow, February 2nd, at 6:00 PM in the Davis Sports Center. Doors open at 5:00 PM and walk up tickets are $20 at the door.

#5 Men's Basketball vs. Oregon is tomorrow, February 2nd at 8:30 PM. It is a Red, White, and Blue out, so wear the colors that correspond to your section to help show your support! Click here to purchase tickets.

#5 Men's Basketball will also face off against Oregon State on Saturday, February 4th at 7:30 PM. We will also be celebrating McKale Center's 50th anniversary, so click here to purchase tickets.

Men's Tennis is having their match against Pepperdine this Friday, February 3rd, at 12:00 pm and San Diego on Sunday, February 5th, at 12:00 pm. Admission is free!

Women's Tennis will be up against Fresno State, Florida Atlantic, and NAU from Friday, February 3rd to Saturday, February 4th. Admission is free!

SHOW YOUR COLORS
We just returned from a U of A sponsored trip (January 2023) to Argentina and Antarctica - one of the best experiences of our life! Attached are photos of Lisa (Milano) Brothman, '81 and Art Brothman ('78,'80,'82) on the Antarctic continent (note our friendly penguins in the background) and at Tierra del Fuego National Park on the southern tip of Argentina. This was our second attempt at this trip (canceled last year due to COVID), and Lisa knit hats for each of us and a scarf and gloves for her in our classic AZ colors. It was an amazing experience, and while we were the only two representing U of A, we met several who had attended or had connections to our alma mater. Bear Down!
