Yankton Thrive C.E.O talks impact of the housing bill

YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- The South Dakota legislature passed a two hundred million dollar package of funding for housing infrastructure.

Yankton Thrive C.E.O. Nancy Wenande says its another source of funding to develop affordable housing.

Wenande says the money won’t go directly to building homes and apartments.

Wenande says developing sites adds to the costs of housing.

Governor Noem signed the bill into law on Wednesday.

About seventy million dollars will go the Sioux Falls and Rapid City with the rest divided among all other cities and counties.
