Under Roman Abramovich, Chelsea developed a reputation for having a short leash with their managers. After the sudden dismissal of Thomas Tuchel, many fans wondered if this trend was set to continue under new ownership.
Some have theorized Graham Potter is operating under pressure at Stamford Bridge, given the recent results the club has experienced. According to a report on Wednesday, this is far from the truth.

According to Jacob Steinberg, there are no demands that Potter immediately turn results around following the large influx of players this January window. Ownership has handpicked the Englishman and they plan to give him ample time to form a winning team.
There is plenty of excitement at the club given the caliber of players being brought in, but with this is also the acceptance that this rebuild will take a good amount of time and the players need continuity to flourish.
There are plans in place to give Potter a full pre-season to work with these new players and also a summer clear-out is expected. Players mentioned as candidates for departure are Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Conor Gallagher, and Kalidou Koulibaly.
