Obituary: Conductor Grigory Krasko Dies at 74

Violinist and conductor Grigory Krasko has died at the age of 74.

Krasko graduated from the Conservatory Gnessin in Moscow and was a laureate of the first awards at the national competitions of violinists of the Soviet Union.

In 1974 he was admitted into the orchestra of Bolshoi Theater and became the concertmaster. In 100- he became the concertmaster of the Moscow Philharmonic and the leader of the chamber orchestra Moscow Philharmonicists.

Years later he was named concertmaster of the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra and the leader of the ensemble Montenegrin Strings. In 2012, he became the conductor of the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra.
