Chatham Baroque to Present Ensemble Dialogos’ ‘Barlaam and Josaphat’

On February 19, 2023. Chatham Baroque will present Ensemble Dialogos’ run of “Barlaam and Josaphat.”

This program sets to music the medieval Christian legend which adapts the story of the Buddha, drawing from the repertoires of Greek, Latin, Russian, Croatian, French, and Italian manuscripts. Among the featured performers are Katarina Livljanic, violinist and composer Albrecht Maurer, and flautist Norbert Rodenkirchen.

Directed by Livljanic, Ensemble Dialogos brings together artists of diverse backgrounds to revive European oral and written traditions from the Middle Ages.

Chatham Baroque’s “Barlam and Josaphat” will run for two performances on Feb. 19 and 21 at the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Tickets are available for $40, with senior and student discounts at $35 and $20, respectively.
