Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale's Bob Hope will struggle to support his daughter Cathy after discovering her decision to go on the pill to keep her heavy periods at bay.
Cathy recently confided in Bernice and Brenda about her heavy periods, which have left her feeling embarrassed and even forced her to run out of her mock exam.
But after receiving some sound advice from Bernice, Cathy opened up to Manpreet Sharma and the GP wrote her a prescription for the pill, alleviating the teen's symptoms.

In the wake of these scenes, Cathy finally feels like herself again and enjoys her birthday gathering.
However, Brenda goes behind her back and breaks the news to Bob that his daughter is taking the pill. Bob is upset that he has been kept in the dark and chooses to confront Cathy about the situation.
Cathy, on the other hand, is mortified to hear her father talking to her about something so personal and explodes into a fit of rage.

Last month, it was revealed that the ITV soap would be focusing more on its younger characters — including the likes of Cathy, Gabby and Amelia — with some more mature storylines.
Speaking about Cathy's storyline in particular, executive producer Jane Hudson said: "You'll see a really big story for Cathy, Bob's daughter, which is really emotional.
"It's her first big story really and it's a challenging one and I think it's one that a lot of parents will connect with. It's one I haven't seen a soap do before."
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
