NEW TONIGHT, YOUR FIRST LOOK AT AN ARMED ROBBERY IN ACTION. HE HIT A FAMILY DOLLAR STORE THIS PAST SUNDAY NIGHT IN KETV. CRIME STOPPERS CAN GIVE YOU A GOOD LOOK AT IT AS YOU WATCH THE VIDEO. TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT’S ABOUT TO HAPPEN. IT’S 830 THAT NIGHT. THE FAMILY DOLLAR AND NORTH 30TH IN NEWPORT AVENUE. MANAGER TOLD POLICE HE’S GETTING READY TO CLOSE THE STORE AND IS COUNTING MONEY WHEN THE ROBBER COMES IN AND POINTS A GUN AT HIM. THE MANAGER SAYS HE WAS ABOUT TO TELL THE GUY TO LIFT UP HIS MASK. WHEN THE SUSPECT SAYS, GIVE ME ALL THE MONEY OR I AM GOING TO SHOOT YOU. SO THE MANAGER DOES AND THE SUSPECT QUICKLY LEAVES WITH THE ENVELOPE SOME MONEY FROM A DIFFERENT CAMERA. WE CAN GET ANOTHER SHOT OF THE SUSPECT. SO TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT HIM DRESSED ALL IN BLACK, HEAD TO TOE. HE ALSO HAD A FACE MASK THAT HAD SOME KIND OF BLACK AND WHITE DESIGN ON IT. Omaha police and Crime Stoppers are looking for the suspect in an armed robbery Sunday night at a Family Dollar.Around 8:30 p.m., the store near North 30th Street and Newport Avenue was hit by the robber as a manager was closing the store and in the process of counting money.The manager told police the robber proceeded to point a gun at him.He said he was about to tell the robber to lift up their mask, but stopped when he heard them say: "Gimme all the money or I am going to shoot you."The manager handed over the money in envelopes, and the suspect quickly left.If you recognize the suspect, or know anything about the incident, you're urged to contact Omaha Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP (7967), omahacrimestoppers.org or through the P3 Tips mobile app.You can always report tips anonymously — if your information leads to an arrest in the case, you could be eligible for a cash reward.Get the latest headlines from KETV NewsWatch 7
