“She was an amazing writer, Growth said. “She wrote a couple of novels, wrote a number of short stories, and twisted the concept of grace, where it comes from, and in a lot of ways, where we expect it to come from isn’t always the source of grace.”

Growth said it was an easy decision for the movie set to come and film in Kentucky.

“Honestly too, the film commission here is pretty, darn amazing and the incentive program was really attractive for us to come here,” Growth said.

Robin Antenucci, with Frankfort Tourism, said, “I think there’s a lot of attraction to Frankfort because of the historic nature of the city. There’s a lot of really cool buildings, businesses, and things like that. I think it’s very picturesque and a lot of our visitors that come here talk about how beautiful the town is.”

To Antenucci’s point, that was another reason why ‘Wildcat’ was set to be filmed across the commonwealth.

“We wanted to find a place that really represented her home state of Georgia, really give it that south feel,” Growth said. “It’s such a huge part of the ethos of our film … it’s awesome and our time in Kentucky has been wonderful.”

Antenucci said she hopes the viewers of ‘Wildcat’ will inspire more to come and see Frankfort.

“I can’t wait to see it on the big screen. Hopefully, lots of people will see it.,” Antenucci said.

Growth said ‘Wildcat’ is expected to finish with filming in May or June.
