Springfield, IL

Springfield police are investigating a reported home invasion that left one man dead. A call to 911 sent police to a home in the 11-hundred block of South 19th Street Friday afternoon. The caller told police he had confronted someone inside the residence. Police found a 33-year-old man inside the home with a stab wound. He was taken to HSHS St. John’s Hospital, where he died of his injuries.
